TRANSITIONS ONLINE DISCUSSION ON ROMANI ISSUES WITH DIMITRINA PETROVA
Are the governments of the new EU states systematically discriminating against Roma in the field of education? What is being done to combat the unemployment and poverty endemic in Romani communities? Dimitrina Petrova - executive director of the European Roma Rights Center since 1996 - will be Transitions Online's guest for a live discussion on Wednesday, 4th of August, at 4:00 p.m. CET and will answer questions about the situation of the Romani minority in the "New Europe".
The leading human rights organization in Europe in the field of Roma rights, the ERRC is an international public interest law organization that defends the legal rights of Roma. Its purpose is to act as public advocate on behalf of the transnational, geographically diverse Romani community and to be a legal resource center for the effective protection and advancement of Roma rights.
