Voices Against Online Hate: Roma Rights Defenders in their Own Words

This report provides vivid first-hand accounts of how volunteer Roma Rights Defenders monitored online hate speech against Roma; and recounts their experience in submitting complaints to social media platforms, compiling evidence for legal challenges against digital anti-Roma racism. In Their Own Voices the activists describe their anti-racist campaigning, and provide compelling recommendations with calls for urgent public dialogue and accountability to counter and block online hate speech against Roma.
